MS Sir Winston
With its unique design and versatility thanks to its distinctive structure, the MS Sir Winston is one of a kind! It was built in an unknown shipyard in Glasgow as a naval vessel for the English Royal Navy. In the years 1962/1963, the ship was converted into a cruise ship at Wijtro in Rotterdam-IJsselmonde. In 1975, the ship was extended to a length of 67.42 metres. It was, and still is, one of the fastest cruise ships on the inland waterways.
Its interior has a semi-classical style with comfortable furniture in colonial style, so everyone will soon feel at home. Due to the compactness of the ship, people are able to get to know each other quickly and easily, soon creating a family atmosphere during the trip.
With 33 two-bed cabins and 2 one-bed cabins, the MS Sir Winston is able to accommodate up to 68 guests. The cabins are divided into three corridors: the Promenade Deck (ground), the Main Deck Front (below, accessible by stairs) and the Main Deck Rear (below, accessible by stairs). All cabins come with a safe deposit box and TV, which is able to receive various Dutch, German and English channels. All the cabins on the upper corridor come with air conditioning. On the Promenade Deck is the reception, a cosy bar with plenty of seating, a TV and a large projection screen with projector. You will also find the restaurant on this floor. Next to the reception is the staircase that provides access to the Sun deck, where there is also plenty of seating space and you can enjoy the variety of landscapes that the MS Sir Winston sails through.
